I assume you're referring to Sylvia Plath's poem "Mirror". I would say the correct answer is A. They both mask the truth with their dim light. In the second stanza, the mirror has been replaced by a lake. The woman is now trying to see her reflection in the lake, instead of a mirror. The lake presents her with an honest representation of who she really is, unlike the moon and the candles, which display a false, adorned image that she prefers to see.

PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

In order to write a successful thesis statement: Avoid burying a great thesis statement in the middle of a paragraph or late in the paper. Be as clear and as specific as possible; avoid vague words. Indicate the point of your paper but avoid sentence structures like, “The point of my paper is…”

Explanation:

The Thesis. Statement. The thesis statement is that sentence or two in your text that contains the focus of your essay and tells your reader what the essay is going to be about.

B. Why do you think that the poet's toothbrush was toothless?
qwelly [4]

Hello. You did not enter the poem this question refers to. This makes it impossible for your question to be answered. However, I will try to help you as best I can.

It is only possible to know the reason that left the toothbrush toothless if the poem is read. As you have not informed the poem, it is you who should read it. You will be able to identify why you left the toothbrush toothless, when you read an activity the speaker did with the toothbrush that ended up damaging it, or something that acted on the toothbrush, damaging it.
