Answer: Adam is showing up a "SELF-DESTRUCTION WARNING ALARM WHICH IS CAUSED BY BIPOLAR DISORDER".

Explanation: Bipolar disorder is a type of mood disorder that makes one feel depressed and inconsiderate to any action before taking. Such person may want to drink more alcohol, shop with all their earnings, give away everything their have, and behave differently from the type of person their have been. This is a very dangerous mood disorder because the final outcome of many patient with such disorder is self-destruction. Self-destruction is when someone decide to take it's own life by itself. Adam is under a bipolar mood disorder because he is not only depressed, but he gives out some of his prized possessions, which he may not do if he were normal.

This is a self-destruction warning alarm, because if urgent attention is not given to Adam and the bipolar disorder persist in him, he may want to take his life one day, as he will not consider such actions before taking.
