Deductive reasoning is basically the drawing of a conclusion based upon certain evidence. Thus, when we see the first portion of the sentence, “Everyone on my street lost power during the storm,” we are reading the evidence upon which the conclusion of “I will not be able to turn on the lights at my house” is drawn.
