Good morning, Dae1678. Our muscle cells in our body have to use lactic acid fermentation whenever there isn't enough oxygen to support them. It goes through our bloodstreams to our livers to convert back to pyruvate then processed normally. Lactic fermentation is helpful for sprinters who run because of the short distance and ATP (energy) given. Although many people say that lactic acid fermentation causes soreness after exercising, this may not be the case after recent research. An example of lactic fermentation would be dark meat on a chicken bone because it does not have oxygen to turn a whiter color. As for aerobic respiration, it is how our body produces energy whenever given oxygen. The first step of aerobic respiration is glycolysis, second is the citric acid cycle, then the electron transport chain. Aerobic respiration is whenever you can run long distances, swim, and walk. An example of aerobic respiration would be lifting weights because you are needing the oxygen and energy given by the aerobic respiration to use your muscles. I hope I helped. If you have any more questions then do not hesitate to message me and I will gladly try to answer them. Have a great day.

answer;  Genetic variation is a term used to describe the variation in the DNA sequence in each of our genomes. ... Individuals of a species have similar characteristics but they are rarely identical, the difference between them is called variation. Updated January 06, 2020. A gene is a portion of DNA that determines a trait. A trait is a characteristic, or a feature, passed from one generation to another, like height or eye color. Genes come in multiple forms or versions. Each of these forms is called an allele

Explanation:

Term

Meaning

Evolution

The process by which modern organisms have descended from ancient organisms over time

Common ancestor

An ancestor shared by two or more descendant species

Natural selection

Evolutionary mechanism in which individuals that are better suited to their environment survive and reproduce most successfully

Variation

Difference between traits in individuals of the same species

Adaptation

A trait that improves an organism's ability to survive and reproduce in an environment

Fitness

The ability of an organism to survive and reproduce

Artificial selection

Selective breeding of organisms to promote the appearance of desirable traits in offspring

Genetic drift

A mechanism of evolution in which allele frequencies of a population change over generations due to chanc

If a DNA molecule is compared to a spiral staircase, what parts make up the steps?
MrRissso [65]
I like to think of the DNA molecule strand as a ladder, rather than a spiral staircase. The siderail of the DNA ladder (The DNA "Backbone") consists of the Sugar and Phosphate molecules. The rungs of the ladder (the inner bases) consist of the pairs of Nitrogen Bases - Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thymine.

hope this helped :)
