Hamlet wants to avenge his father's murder. However, his indecision prevents him from taking action. Which of these excerpts fro

m act IV mark the turning point of Shakespeare's tragedy?
A.) Contagion to this world. Now could I drink hot blood,
And do such bitter business as the day
Would quake to look on.
(Hamlet, act IV, scene III )

B.)O heavens, die two months ago, and not forgotten
yet? Then there's hope a great man's memory may outlive his life
half a year: but, by'r lady, he must build churches then;
(Hamlet, act IV, scene II )

C.) Now might I do it pat, now he is praying;
And now I'll do't—and so he goes to heaven,
And so am I reveng'd. That would be scann'd:
A villain kills my father; and for that
I, his sole son, do this same villain send
To Heaven
O, this is hire and salary, not revenge.
(Hamlet, act IV, scene III)

D.) O, it offends me to the
soul, to hear a robustious periwig-pated fellow tear a passion to
tatters, to very rags, to split the ears of the groundlings, who,
for the most part, are capable of nothing but inexplicable dumb
shows and noise. I would have such a fellow whipped for o'erdoing
Termagant; it out-herods Herod: pray you avoid it.
(Hamlet, act IV, scene II)

Read the excerpt from Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. Which statement develops the theme that abuse of power leads to dest
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world

Like a Colossus, and we petty men Walk under his huge legs.

Explanation:

The first sentence questions man's pride, arrogance, using the word Colossus to represent man's thought of himself as being huge and being an very high level. If one bestride the world as a Colossus represents the misuse of one very little power which man often thinks of himself as being extremely powerful and untouchable. In the real sense, the world looks so huge in the worldly realm, which when man acquires a bit of power, he starts to feel as being the most powerful. Petty, describes men as not more than we are ; no matter the worldly power we have, men aren't so special, walking under the legs as the man falls into destruction despite his powers.

which group of writers valued reason and logical thinking over faith A. the puritans B. the enlightenment writers C. the native
Naddika [18.5K]

B. The Enlightenment writers valued reason and logical thinking over faith. Most of the Enlightenment writers, such as Rousseau or Montesquieu, used logical thinking to prove their points or hypothesis. They didn't invoke God's reasons or authority to do so. Not because they were atheists, but because they believed that reasoning was what gonna take humanity into a better future, they believed that reasoning enlightenments, while the sole belief in God what was stopped humanity from developing a better society. That's why the Enlightenment period is called that way and the Middle Ages are sometimes referred as Dark Ages, because Europe has felt from a scientifically and technologically rich period into a period where people was set aback to survive by their own meanings. A lot of the classical knowledge and technology that made life easier was lost after the fall of the Roman Empire, and it wasn't until Renaissance that it was recovered.
