Brazil has been hit by one of the most significant migrant crises in South American history. Thousands of migrants from Venezuela crossed the border due to the unfortunate economic situation and headed for Brazil. For some, Brazil is just a side stop, but some want to stay in that country. The case is extremely tense. Many Brazilians do not want migrants from Venezuela to their country. The situation is therefore tense, and little need to escalate into greater violence against migrants from Venezuela. There have even been some violent situations, according to some migrants. There are civilian police patrolling and threatening migrants at night.
