History

Napoleon took advantage of the negative political climate following the French Revolution. He was a well-known strategist and warfarer and technically ended the French Revolution, as he was part of the Directory and overthrew the Directory, replacing it with the Consulate, where he was the leader. This then paved the way for him to become emperor of France. He was very much on the side of the people during the French Revolution and eliminated the minority opposition quickly. He also took care of European Affairs during the revolution and excelled in this area.

Why did the Confederacy have a difficult time stopping Sherman?
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

He eliminated Atlanta's war making potential and brought sheer destruction to Georgia, then offered generous surrender terms. His vision of hard war brought the Confederacy to its knees, but forestalled thousands of battlefield and civilian deaths.
