The invasion kept Churchill from playing games in the Balkans, it got the Western Allies back onto Western Europe and it also made the Germans divert forces from the Eastern Front. It led to the ultimate defeat of Germany in a shorter time span if no invasion<span> had been attempted or if the </span>invasion<span> was defeated. I hope this helped</span>
