Answer:

Even at the dawn of the existence of the United States, such typically populist topics as protest against government institutions (anti- governmentalism), egalitarianism, and opposition to the elites played an important role in American politics. But precisely populism of the 19th century in the USA became the “paradigm of populism.

The People’s Party did not live long - very soon it joined the ranks of the Democratic Party. But even after, especially since the 1960s, populism has been an important topic of American politics. One of the reasons for this is that when the procedure for nominating candidates for the presidency was changed, the power to nominate candidates passed from the party elites to the candidates themselves, and, therefore, all politics began to line up around the personality of the candidate.

Populism in the US nowadays is not an outsider policy, but part of the political mainstream .

1. Did Troy really exist?
jonny [76]

Answer:

Yes, Troy did exist.

Explanation:

Most historians now agree that ancient Troy was to be found at Hisarlik. Troy was real. Evidence of fire, and the discovery of a small number of arrowheads in the archaeological layer of Hisarlik that corresponds in date to the period of Homer's Trojan War, may even hint at warfare.
