The East mission, San Francisco de los Tejas, was unsuccessful but the missions along the Rio Grande flourished. Why is geograph
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

San Francisco de los Tejas failed because of drought, disease, Native American resistance, and lack of funding and supplies from Spain. The missions along the Rio Grande flourished because they were very close to New Spain and they had the waters of the Rio Grande to use to grow crops. Geographical location is very important to a mission’s settlement because proximity to New Spain made getting supplies easier and quicker. The water source of the river fostered crops and travel which allowed for trade. Missions along the river could stand on their own without a great deal of financial aid from the Spanish government so Spain was less willing to shut them down.

Prepare for a Debate
Yuliya22 [10]

My stand in the given debate is that the late 1960s were merely a turning point for the Civil Rights Movement.

What is the Civil Rights Movement?

This refers to the period in American history that saw the struggle and protests for black equality and an end to segregation and institutionalized racism.

Hence, we can see that even though at the end of the 1960s, there was a decline in the Civil Rights Movement, there was also continued segregation, Vietnam War protests, etc, this set the stage for a renewed push that led to the equality that the American law recognizes today.
