Explanation:

Diocletian was a Roman emperor who brought about massive changes in the empire to try to retain the former glory of Rome. He tried hard to turn the tide on the previous state of the empire, turning it away from the crisis that had plagued Rome.

Once he gained power, he made sure to change things in such a way that Rome became an empire with absolute power to the emperor. He established the tetrarchy form of government which enables multiple rulers to have control over specific regions of the empire. He along with Maximian Augustus ruled over Rome, later on, joined/ assisted by co-emperors Galerius and Constantius Chlorus, dividing the empire into east and west.
