Answer:

She builds the tension of events by presenting the most horrific last.

Explanation:

Nellie Bly, was a journalist, writer and American businesswoman. She was the first reporter of investigative journalism and a pioneer of undercover journalism.

Bly wrote some research articles before being relegated to the women's section. He left the Dispatch and traveled to New York, where he applied for a job in the sensationalist newspaper The New York World, by Joseph Pulitzer. Pulitzer hired her, and was assigned as the first job the writing of an article about a psychiatric asylum for women in Blackwell's Island. Bly went into the asylum, exposing herself to the horrible conditions to which the patients were subjected. After the experience he wrote the report entitled "Ten days in a madhouse" denouncing the abuses of the administration on patients and forced the health authorities to take drastic measures on the treatment of the mentally ill, opening an official investigation and releasing budget to improve assistance to the mentally ill.

Answer:

A It stresses how important video games are to Max.

Explanation:

"How Video Games are Getting Inside Our Head— And Wallet" is an informational text by Steve Henn about the dangers of the online games that children get addicted to. In this text, Henn provides instances and opinions on how these virtual games have become the new normal for kids while the developers influence them to do more than just play the games.

Paragraph 9 of the text is where Max's mom, Vanessa Kelmon reveals her failed attempt to entice her son to go outside and play tennis or golf. But that only made him cry, which shows that he prefers these games over the healthier outdoor games. This paragraph shows how Max prioritizes these video games, signifying the importance of these games over all else.

Thus, the correct answer is option A.

Ivahew [28]
<span>It uses a respectful tone but needs specific, credible evidence to support the claim.
There is no credible evidence. The paragraph sounds more like the author is annoyed with the argument. While the author does call out parents and tells people they are using emotion to cloud their judgment, the author doesn't name call or shame anyone so I wouldn't say it uses a disrespectful tone.
