Answer:

The Serpent (Satan the Devil) appealed to desire of Eve's eye by making the fruit appealing and desirable. In 1 John 3:16 we find the warning to be careful with the desire of the eyes, which originates with the world. When we compare it with 1 John 5:19, we see clearly that the wold is lying in the power of the wicked one. Granted Satan has used the same temptation that he used with Eve in Genesis 3:6.

Explanation:

In Luke chapter 4 Satan tries to tempt Jesus 3 times. In the first temptation Satan was aware that Jesus had been fasting for 40 days, so he tempted him to use his power to turn stones into bread. In the second temptation, Satan brought him up to a high place and showed him all the kingdoms of the Earth. Here he was using the desire of the eyes to temp Jesus into give him a act of worship, or turning his back on his father.

When we look across the Bible in different accounts that talk about or demonstrate different temptations, we see evidence of how Satan the Devil has used natural human desires or inclinations to turn them into something evil or sinful.
