This is beautiful, because they already gave it to you in factored form.

All you have to do is say to yourself "This equation is a true statement
whenever the left side is zero, and the left side is zero when EITHER ONE
of the factors is zero.". Then jump on it and beat it up.

First factor:
11v + 9 = 0
11v = -9
<u>v = -9/11</u>

Second factor:
2v - 6 = 0
2v = 6
<u>v = 6/2 which is 3</u> .

(11v+9) (2v-6)=0 \\ \\ 11v+9=0 \ \ \ or \ \ \ 2v-6 =0 \\ \\ 11v= -9 \ \ \ or \ \ \ 2v=6 \\ \\ v= -\frac{9 }{11}\ \ \ or \ \ \ v=\frac{6}{2}\\ \\v= -\frac{9 }{11}\ \ \ or \ \ \ v=3

Hi! Can someone help me please.
Sati [7]

Answer:

27 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

We are using the Pythagorean theorem

a^2 +b^2 = c^2  where c is the hypotenuse

We are given the diagonal, which is the hypotenuse and a leg

36^2 + b^2 = 45^2

Subtract 36^2 from each side

36^2 + b^2 - 36^2 = 45^2 - 36^2

b^2 = 45^2 - 36^2

     b^2 =2025-1296

          b^2 =729

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(b^2) = sqrt(729)

b =27

Sensei Umeh’s ""Active Hands"" karate program grew from 8 members to 15 last week.  What is the percent of change?
Tom [10]

Answer:

187.5% increase

Step-by-step explanation:

Percent change formula: \frac{x_{2}-x_{1}}{x_{1}}

Initially, the program had 8 members and ended with 15 so \frac{15-8}{8}=\frac{7}{8}=0.875=87.5

Use only the commutative property of addition to complete the statement. 2x+15= please help asap
aivan3 [116]
<h3>Answer:  15+2x</h3>

=======================================

The commutative property of addition is where we can add two numbers in any order we want. Example: 2+3 = 5 and 3+2 = 5.

In general, the rule is x+y = y+x.

In our case, 2x and 15 can be added in any order. So that's why 2x+15 is the same as 15+2x.

-------

Side note: a similar rule applies for multiplication as well. This is called the commutative property of multiplication. Example: 9*3 = 27 and 3*9 = 27. So we can say x*y = y*x.
