Read the excerpt from act 3, scene 2, of Julius Caesar. [ANTONY.] For Brutus is an honourable man, So are they all, all honourab

le men— Come I to speak in Caesar’s funeral. He was my friend, faithful and just to me. But Brutus says he was ambitious, And Brutus is an honourable man. He hath brought many captives home to Rome, Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill. Did this in Caesar seem ambitious? When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept. Ambition should be made of sterner stuff. Yet Brutus says he was ambitious, And Brutus is an honourable man. You all did see that on the Lupercal I thrice presented him a kingly crown, Which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition? Yet Brutus says he was ambitious, And sure he is an honourable man. How is the word honourable used in the context of Antony’s speech? It is used as a public expression of praise toward Brutus. It is used as a negative and ironic word to describe Brutus. It loses its power because of Antony’s repeated use of it. It is used with ambitious to change the connotation of ambitious.

Answer: It is used as a negative and ironic word to describe Brutus.

Explanation:

<em>In Act III, Scene I </em>of <em>Julius Caesa</em>r, Caesar is brutally murdered by jealous conspirators.

<em>In Act III, Scene II</em>, Antony, a friend of Caesar's, argues that Brutus and his accomplices are<em> 'honorable'</em>. However, the constant repetition of this attribute creates the opposite effect.

Antony states that Brutus, an honorable man, said that Caesar was ambitious, and that Caesar has paid the price for this serious flaw. In this context, the word honorable is contrasted with the underlying accusations of murder, and thus carries the completely opposite meaning - that Brutus and his accomplices are murderers and are dishonorable.

The winter evening settles down
taurus [48]

Answer:

See below:

Explanation:

It asks for 3 examples of imagery about trash and pollution.

a lonely cab-horse steams and

stamps- I don't think this is one. A horse is not trash, even if it is lonely.

broken blinds and chimney-pots-This is one of them. "Broken" blinds indicate trash and overusage.

the winter evening settles down-No. This is talking about weather.

newspapers from vacant lots-I think this is one of them. The term "vacant" gives the hint that it is trash, since the newspaper is no longer in use.

and then the lighting of the lamps-I don't think so. This is giving general imagery about the setting. It has nothing to do with trash or pollution.

grimy scraps of withered leaves-I think this is one of them as well. The word usage here obviously states that these leaves are old, fallen off the tree, and trash.

I hope I could help!

Why is quality important to you as an individual and why is equality quality essential important in any democracy in the world?
damaskus [11]

Answer:

Quality is not important to me as an individual. Democracy presupposes relationships of political equality in which citizens equally share authority, but in today’s divided public square, democratic institutions are challenged by disagreement about how such institutions should be organized, and by antidemocratic politicians who exploit uncertainty.

Explanation:

I hope this is correct and I hope this helps. My apologies if it's wrong.

Every line of a poem must begin with a capital letter true or false
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Traditionally, the first letter of each line of a poem is capitalized, even if it isn’t the beginning of a sentence. Now the authors are making their poems more alive so you don't have to use capital letters at the beginning of each line of a poem

Hope this helps :)
