Finally, for Pathos, I chose "I have borne thirteen children and seen most all sold to slavery, and when I cried out with my mother's grief, none but Jesus heard me!" This sentence provokes sad and negative feelings. Thinking about a mother watching her children be taken away from her for to be sold for slavery is just depressing. When she sought reassurance, the only person there for her was Jesus.
