    The second industrial revolution which could also be termed as the Technological revolution was a period in history in which there was massive standardization and industrialization. This was generally between the the late 19th century and early 20th century.

    In America, the second industrial revolution introduced a period where technology was fast paced. This implied that the American economy was positively influenced because american workers could make more income with less work due to the sharp shift from human labor to machine labor.

  There was great innovation in Production, material science and industrial tools and this translated to mass production of goods thereby redefining the American family and american lifestyle.

   Again, new markets were opened for farmers and factory owners by the invention of long distance transportation systems such as trains and steam ships.
