The Great Depression took place in the 1930’s
This is when stock markets crashed and millions of Americans lost their jobs and property...coming out of the depression, in the 1960’s, the economy was still recovering and lots of money had been spent on world war 1 and 2 plus the cold war and later the vietnam war
