Answer:

Eastern parts were richer and more populated, while western part had a symbolic value (Rome). All in all, western half collapsed quickly and doesn't have great impact on history. Eastern half is the Byzantine empire, which had a great impact on eastern Europe, it basically "created" Bulgarian, Serbian and Russian empires (of which only Russian managed to survive long enough to become a world force) and (Byzantine ) had a great influence on Ottoman empire.

hope this helps ;)

olasank [31]
The Second Continental Congress succeeded the First Continental Congress, which met briefly during 1774, also in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The second Congress managed the colonial war effort, and moved slowly towards independence, adopting the United States Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. By raising armies, directing strategy, appointing diplomats, and making formal treaties, the Congress acted as the de facto national government of what became the United States.[1] With the ratification of the Articles of Confederation in 1781, the Congress became known as the Congress of the Confederation.

Why does King Polydectes ask Perseus to bring him the head of Medusa? He thinks having it will protect his kingdom from Zeus. He
poizon [28]

Answer:

He hopes asking for it will cause Perseus to leave his mother behind.

Explanation:

King Polydectes asks Perseus to bring him the head of Medusa because "he hopes to ask for it will cause Perseus to leave his mother behind."

This is evident in the fact that King Polydectes believed that Perseus would leave his mother (Danae) behind, and later die in his pursuit of getting the head of Medusa. Thereby, he would be able to have the perfect opportunity to marry Danae without interference.

Which statement have been made by an anti-federalist?
storchak [24]

Explanation:

Anti-Federalism was a late-18th century movement that opposed the creation of a stronger U.S. federal government and which later opposed the ratification of the 1787 Constitution. The previous constitution, called the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union, gave state governments more authority. Led by Patrick Henry of Virginia, Anti-Federalists worried, among other things, that the position of president, then a novelty, might evolve into a monarchy. Though the Constitution was ratified and supplanted the Articles of Confederation, Anti-Federalist influence helped lead to the passage of the United States Bill of Rights.

How did the tiananmen square massacre impact china
Nostrana [21]

Remembering Tiananmen in Hong Kong has been viewed as an act of defiance for years, and it has become even more so now that the city’s own democratic future has come under threat. In the run-up to the 30th anniversary, demonstrators marched through the semi-autonomous enclave’s financial district chanting, “justice will prevail” and toting “support freedom” umbrellas. “In China, [people] can’t say anything against the government,” says Au Wai Sze, a nurse in Hong Kong who marched along with her 15-year-old daughter. “So while we in Hong Kong can still speak [out], we must represent the voice of the Chinese people and remind the world of this injustice.” Remembering Tiananmen in Hong Kong has been viewed as an act of defiance for years, and it has become even more so now that the city’s own democratic future has come under threat. For all its power, China’s government is still deeply paranoid. Today, the regime is “stronger on the surface than at any time since the height of Mao’s power, but also more brittle,” Andrew Nathan, a professor of political science at Columbia University, wrote in Foreign Affairs. The people’s loyalty is predicated on wealth accumulation, which will be difficult to sustain. A sputtering economy, widespread environmental pollution, rampant corruption and soaring inequality have all fed public anxieties about Xi’s ability to continue fulfilling the prosperity-for-loyalty bargain.
