A federal government and a confederate government differ in where the majority of the power lies. In a federal government the central government holds the most power and states have less. In a confederate government the states hold the majority of the power. The Confederate States of America acted as sovereign states with each state having little influence from a more powerful central government.
For the government: Dissent is unpatriotic and dangerous and must be suppressed. Against the government: Dissent is part of free speech and is healthy in a democracy.

The Mormon, Catholic, and Jewish faced discrimination from the Americans because they were not Protestant Christians. The Americans were Protestant Christians and so they looked down upon all other community other the Protestants. This was the only and the major reason behind such discrimination. It was not limited to the Mormon, Catholic, and Jewish but the discrimination was there against the Muslims and the Hindus as well. Americans are still a dominant force around the world, but the discrimination is still in existence. </span>
The best option in terms of an accurate definition for economic development would be "<span>a. the level of economic, political, and social well being of a nation's people," since "developed" nations usually have more of these things than "undeveloped" nations.
