But as the times grew uncertain and wars diminished the strength of the Roman empire, in 310 DC the emperor recognized Christianity as a religion, and only 10 years after that it was the official religion all through the empire. Other thin that helped spread Christianity was that it had less strict rules on food and behavior than the Jewish religion, and the they also focused its preaching to those who had no religion at all. St. Paul believed that the word and life of Jesus should be for everyone not just for the jews, and started preaching all through the empire and to all different kinds of people.
