38. Division by 1/3 is the same as multiplication by 3.

\frac{5}{6} \times 3 = 5 \times \frac{3}{6} = 5 \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{5}{2}

\frac{1}{2} \times 3 = \frac{3}{2}

\frac{1}{9} \times 3 = \frac{3}{9} = \frac{1}{3}

40. Division by 1/2 is the same as multiplication by 2.

x \times 2 = \frac{6}{8}
x = \frac{6}{8} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{3}{8}

3 \times 2 = 6

x \times 2 = 5
x = \frac{5}{2}

The tan is negative in the 2nd and 4th quadrants, knowing this, the angle that equals the value that tan = 1 in the first quadrant is the tan 45° = 1, but the question restrict for 3pi/2 < theta < 2pi, so it's the same as 270° < theta < 360° (4° Quadrant), then moving the tan 45° = to this quadrant the value will be negative, tan in 4°Q = tan(360 - 45=315°) = -1.

sec theta = 1/cos theta

cos 45° =
\sqrt{2} \div 2

cos values in 4°Q will be positives, so it doesn't change the signal.

sec 315° = 1/cos 315°
sec 315° = 1/square root (2)/2
sec 315 = 1/1 x 2/sqroot(2)
sec \: 315 = 2 \div \sqrt{2}
sec \: 315 = (2 \div \sqrt{2}) \: \times ( \sqrt{2} \div \sqrt{2})
sec \: 315 = 2 \sqrt{2} \div 2
sec \: 315 = \sqrt{2}

Savannah is using unit cubes to determine the volume of her desk drawer. What is true about the volume of Savannah's drawer?
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

The volume is 60 cubic units

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that Savannah is using the unit cubes for determining the volume of her desk drawer.

Each of the cube have dimensions of 1 unit by 1 unit by 1 unit

The base of the drawer is 4 unit cubes by 3 units cubes. And the height of the desk drawer is 5 units cube.

Thus the volume of her desk drawer is = 4 x 3 x 5

                                                                = 60 cubic units
