The correct answer is: C. The force or influence driving a character's actions.

When we know the character's motivation, it helps us understand why is he making certain choices and actions. For example, he's motivation is to become a popular singer. Then if the character joins a singing competition, we know why he is doing that in the first place.

Misogyny : women ::
pashok25 [27]
Misogyny is the hatred or discrimination against women, so your answer should be two words that have that relationship.
You know that A is not correct because divest means to take away possessions, and that isn't hatred against property.
You know that B is not correct because pathological means relating to disease, not hatred to disease.
Finally, you know that C can't be the right answer because progeny means descendants, not hatred of children.

Misogamy is the hatred of marriage, so D is your answer.

How are the moods of "Because I Could Not Stop for Death" and "Some Keep the Sabbath Going to Church" different?
Sauron [17]

Answer:

The former has a serious mood, while the latter has a lighter mood.

Explanation:

In “Because I could not stop for Death” Emily Dickinson uses imagery to portray the death and immortality, how these go together, also that she is now willing to leave this world with them. She describes these two characters as kind and respectful beings. On the other hand, if we analyze Dickinson’s diction in "Some Keep the Sabbath Going to Church", according to the time, that selection of words was consider unpretentious and straightforward.
