Read the excerpt from Monster. PETROCELLI Well, if you don’t know exactly where you were, can you tell me anyone who might know

where you were? STEVE I don’t even remember where I was. When the detectives asked me where I was, I couldn’t even remember the day they were talking about. They didn’t ask me about it until weeks later. What would the judge and jury most likely think after hearing this dialogue? Steve may be dishonest because he is accusing the detectives of working slowly. Steve may be honest because people could easily forget where they were weeks earlier. Steve may be deceitful because he seems to be avoiding Petrocelli's questioning. Steve may be trustworthy because he is repeating the same thing that he told the detectives earlier.

Answer:

Steve may be deceitful because he seems to be avoiding Petrocelli's questioning.

Explanation:

This is because, Steve seems to be avoiding answering the question he was asked but rather, making reference to his experience few weeks back between him and the detectives regarding to where he was then.

Even-though, he might not have remembered then where he was, there is a possibility that he remembered now but choose not to answer.

Haran Majhi: son, profession- potter.

Jhumki: daughter-in-law, profession- midday meal worker in primary school.

Chumki: daughter.

Misti: daughter.

Explanation:

In the given algorithm, it is evident that the starting or top of the chart will be Swapan and Laxmi Majhi. Following them will be their son Haran Majhi and his wife Jhumki.

The professions of Swapan and Laxmi Majhi are a potter and a primary school midday meal worker respectively. They have two daughters- Chumki and Misti, who are both studying in a school.

The right side of the chart with the spaces for Son, Daughter-in-law, and son are to be left blank as there is no evidence of any other son or daughter-in-law or even a child of these two.

The oldest jute mill of Nepal from where seed of revolution for the restoration of democracy ..........[ has been grown / have b
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

  • has grown

Explanation:

This is a really tricky question to be honest. I believe the answer will be 'has grown' as:

  • Among the given options it won't be 'have grown' as have is used for plural subjects (except for 'you' and 'I'). Here, the subject will be the 'seed of revolution' which is in singular form.
  • Now, there's 'has been grown'. This could be right but remember that the term 'seed of revolution' doesn't refer to the normal plant seeds but it signifies how people came to have the seed embeded within themselves and the intelligence to fight for their rights, thus starting a revolution. No one artificially grew this seed for it to 'have been' grown; it just grew naturally in the minds of the civillians.
  • Hence, 'has grown' seems to be the most apt answer.

Please do let me know if this is wrong or right. Thanks!
