How do I include more figurative language in my essays

English

Answer:

Compare two things together using like or as which would be a simile or don't use like or as and it would be a metaphor. You could give a non-living thing human characteristics which would be personification. You also could over exaggerate something which would be an hyperbole. Really it depends on the topic, if you can't figure it out I suggest looking up figurative language examples and trying to come up with figurative language that way.

Hope this helps!

explain in your own words when you would include more than the author's name and page number in a parenthetical citation.
Serjik [45]
One would add first names if there were multiple authors mentioned with the same surname. If there are many more authors one would add "et al." inside of the parentheses. If the name of the author is unknown then one would add the title of the work which is being cited.
