The correct answer is C. Omniscient third person

Explanation:

In literature, the point of view refers to the type of voice or narrator that tells the events that occur in a story, common points of view include the first person that uses the pronoun "I" to tell the events of the story; second-person point of view that can be identified for the use of "you" and third person point of view.

In the case of the third person the events are told by someone who witnesses the events, but generally is not part of them and because of this the narrator uses the third person pronouns "she", "he", "it" or "they" to refer to the characters of the story. Additionally to this, a third person point of view can be limited if the narration is limited to the elements that can be observed or omniscient if the narrator knows the feelings, perspectives, thoughts and other inner processes of the characters.

Considering this, in the case of the passage presented the point of view is "Omniscient third person" because the narrator uses third-person such as "she" or "it" to describe the elements of the story, but also knows the feelings and perspectives of the character "the more nervous she became", "making everything seem spookier than it already was".

Identify each selected word or phrase as a sensory detail or a vivid verb. I guessed vaguely from my mother's signs and from the
4vir4ik [10]

This question is incomplete. Its full version is:

On the afternoon of that eventful day, I stood on the porch, dumb, expectant. I guessed vaguely from my mother's signs and from the hurrying to and fro in the house that something unusual was about to happen, so I went to the door and waited on the steps. The afternoon sun penetrated the mass of honeysuckle that covered the porch and fell on my upturned face. My fingers lingered almost unconsciously on the familiar leaves and blossoms which had just come forth to greet the sweet southern spring. I did not know what the future held of marvel or surprise for me.

Which answer choice best describes the imagery in the excerpt?

  1. Sensory details appeal to the reader's sense of hearing.
  2. A metaphor creates a visual image for the reader.
  3. A simile creates a visual image for the reader.
  4. Sensory details appeal to the reader's sense of touch

Answer:

The right answer is option 4.

Explanation:

IMAGERY: it is figurative language used to represent objects, actions, and ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses. E.g. Time is slipping through my fingers.

In this excerpt, taken from "The Story of My Life" by Helen Keller, the answer that best describes the imagery is option number four "sensory details appeal to the reader's sense of touch".

One paragraph of the Patriots
KatRina [158]

Answer:

Here is your short paragraph on Patriots !

Patriotism means genuine love towards your own country/ motherland. It does not mean hatred towards other countries as well.  It is said that even if a mother loose her love towards her child a child should not lose his/ her honor towards her. Likewise we must respect our country no matter what the circumstances are. We all are indebted towards our country because it is where we are born & brought up. Every individual has a different way to express his/ her feeling of patriotism towards his/ her country.  A true patriot tries to contribute his best for the growth and development of his country. For instance, a social reformer is said to be a patriot in the real sense.
