The War Industries Board (WIB) affects the American economy as it curtailed free enterprise.

Further Explanations:

“War Industries Board” was the governmental organization established on 28th July 1917 to direct the purchase of supplies for the War Department and navy. The board was established by Frank A. Scott the ex-chief of the “General Munitions Board”. Later he was replaced by Daniel Willard in November. On January 1918, board was finally recognized under the governance of Bernard M. Baruch.

The main motive of its establishment was to encourage mass production techniques and increase the efficiency of the companies. Companies were advised to standardize their product to eliminate waste and quotas were set for production and raw material. The board also dealt with the labor-management disputes that increased the demand for production. An increase in 20 percent of production was observed during the era. Overall, we can say that the board affected the nation’s economy.

Margaret [11]

The Menominee Restoration Act was a direct impact due to the effort of Ada Deer. This Act was signed by President Richard Nixon on December 22, 1973. It restored tribal supervision over property and members; it recognized sovereignty to the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. This Act also gave American Indian tribes access to federal services. After the signing if this Act, the Menominee Restoration Committee was created which would work as an interim authority and be in charge of the new drafting of tribal constitutions; due to the Menominee Restoration Act, the Termination Act of 1954 was repealed.
