A delusion of grandeur, also referred to as grandiose delusion, is an unrealistic self belief of greatness, in which one has a high sense of importance. The individual having delusion of grandeur, have an unrealistic belief that they can influence a situation. Such thoughts could be as a result of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder etc.
