The correct answer is C) Military advisers supported the South Vietnamese Army.

The role that United States security forces played in Vietnam during the Kennedy Administration was that military advisers supported the South Vietnamese Army.

President John F. Kennedy sent troops and military advisors to South Vietnam in May 1961. The number of forces and military advisors reached the 11,000 in 1962. Due to the killings in that area, President Kennedy made the decision to send another 5,000 at the end of 1963 for a total of 16,000. That is why the role that United States security forces played in Vietnam during the Kennedy Administration was that military advisers supported the South Vietnamese Army.
