During the golden age, Athens flourished allowing its people to love a life of luxury, people would spend time in the public bath catching up with friends and then maybe go see a play or listen to music, they enjoyed good food and bountiful wine, it was a time of since and peace, many famous philosophers of the time are from the Golden age.
