Television was invented by Paul Nipkow in the mid 1880’s, the last major advancement made to this tech was made around 35 years ago.(HDTV it was an adjustment made in 1993, well it was started in 1980, but was officially released in 1993) The most important use of the Televisions was for advertising and entertainment, there were no gaming systems back then. It affected the 20th century by allowing advertising much simpler and to where it could reach many more people. Another way it affected the 20th century was by allowing more advanced forms of entertainment, such as movies, tv shows, and games!
