What central idea is developed by Mrs. Higgins's few lines in this scene?

English
1 answer:

4 0

Answer:

By speaking at the same time, Higgins and Pickering show they are no more sophisticated than Eliza.

Explanation:

In the drawing room scene in Pygmalion Professor Higgins presented Eliza to his mother, who was not pleased with the visit as Higgins tended to act objectionably in front of her guests, to test the progress of his experimented.

Eliza, having already being coached on what subjects she can safely converse in, does so beautifully but comically, talking correctly while using slang.

During the course of the evening Higgins and colonel Pickering talked over each other, a fact which made them as unsophisticated as their experimental subject, as Mrs. Higgins pointed out to the two men.

This is even further emphasized in another scene where Higgins had to be reminded to mind his manners in front of Eliza, and at the end of the play she even has better manners than he does.

Answer:

Today people live in twenty one century, in a period, which is increasingly changing. Modern technologies occupies human’s life, it also has changed life habits as well as and people relationships. Sometimes it seems that young people discriminate older. People do not value old people's wisdom, experience and knowledge.

First of all, it is quite hard to find a job for young people. Most employers believe that old people can not work, because they are slow and their knowledge is outdated. Why such stereotypes has formed in our society? After all, old people have a lot of knowledge and life experience. Young people should learn from older.

A cluster map is used to narrow a topic. How do you begin a cluster map?
Sever21 [200]

Answer:

Write your broad topic in the center of a piece of paper and circle it.

Explanation:

A cluster map (sometimes also called mind map) is a map that involves recording ideas and then grouping them into clusters. The first step in the creation of a cluster map is writing down the main, broad topic in the center of the paper. The following steps are:

 • Adding subtopics that are related to the main idea.
 • Adding ideas or information under each subtopic to form clusters. Here as many subtopics as necessary can be created.
 • Marking the diagram with certain colors to understand it more easily later.
