The correct answer is the first one: a person's value is not determined by their race, language, or religion.  According to the quotation he believed  that the differences do prevent people from coming together but this is not true and people shouldn't look at these differences since the differences don't really exist because they are all human and that we should judge based on how good of a person they might be and not judge based on outside appearance.

The right option is A.

Booker T. Washington was born in slavery and was able to become a teacher. He believed that a person's value should not be determined by their race, language, or religion. From his role as a leader, he encouraged black people to accept discrimination in exchange for receiving education.

Among other things, he went down in history for having delivered the first racial speech (the Atlanta Compromise Speech). In it, Washington showed his philosophy of self-help and promoted social and racial accommodation.

Why did hundreds of people send canes to Preston Brooks?
nekit [7.7K]
Preston Brooks was a Southern Congressman and a passionate advocate of Southern Rights. Charles Sumner was an ardent abolitionist who delivered an impassioned speech against the authors of the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1856. He also ridiculed the speech impediment of one of the authors, Andrew Butler. Preston Brooks got angry because he was the nephew of Andrew Butler. Together with a friend, Brooks approached Sumner as the latter worked at his desk and started caning Sumner. Sumner collapsed in the aisle and Preston Brooks continued caning him until his cane broke. Southerners sent canes to Preston Brooks to replace the one he broke.
