This is through the use of "crotchets" here is another kind of wordplay within the larger quibble on notes and noting, since the word means quarter notes as well as whimsical ideas. Still another form of quibble is the exaggerated use of a metaphor.

In the play “Much Ado About Nothing” Shakespeare used both verse and prose in it. As prose represents a language of logical thought, while verse is the language of emotion and self-reflection. It was during Shakespeare’s time that when a dramatic character speaks in poetry it speaks from his heart rather than in prose. Beatrice and Benedick spoke in prose to provide logic and substantiality in their arguments against each other. Benedick used witty prose to defend himself and Beatrice used prose to decrease her emotional appeal in her arguments.

Shakespeare in his play “Much Ado About Nothing” has used the theme of mishearing and passing the wrong information. The chaos created by this results in the misunderstandings throughout the play. The play “Much Ado About Nothing” by Shakespeare engages itself in several confusions and misconceptions about the characters about each other. Antonio believes that Don Pedro will propose to Hero at the dance. Antonio’s servant had over-heard Don Pedro talking to Claudio that he will confess his proposal of love to Hero that very night. After over-hearing the news, Antonio's servant delivers it to Antonio. Later, Antonio tells Leonato about the news after which Leonato decides to warn Hero about it.

The process of overhearing, misunderstanding, and plotting goes on until the end when everything gets resolved on a happy note.

Exercise 1 Identify the phrase in italics as I for infinitive, G for gerund, or P for participial.
aivan3 [116]

Dan has never been one to complain about his problems.

The phrase to complain is an infinitive.

What are Gerunds, infinitives, and participles?

A gerund is a word with a "ing" ending that functions as a noun. A verb that has been given the "-ing" suffix has been altered so that the entire word now functions as a noun.

A verb's basic form gains the word "to" to produce an infinitive, which can then be used as a verbal noun, adjective, or adverb.

Depending on the root word, a participle is a verb that serves as an adjective and ends in one of the following suffixes: "-ing," "-ed," "-en," "-d," "-t," "-n," or "-ne."

When a participle and one or more nouns or pronouns are united, they form a participial phrase, which is a group of words.
