Answer:

a. Both works show a marriage denied; only Shakespeare offers background.

Explanation:

Ovid's " Pyramus and Thisbe" and William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" both tells the story of two star crossed lovers who had to have a fatal ending due to their complicated love stories. While both stories seem to have the exact same play and theme and tone, one thing that is evidently missing from the excerpts provided in the question is that while Shakespeare provides the background of the story, telling the history of the families of two characters Romeo and Juliet, Ovid's excerpt ,misses this detail. Both shows a marriage denied, only Shakespeare offers the background for why the union was refused.

How did the wars going on during the time To Kill a Mockingbird was written affect the story?
Elodia [21]
Scout narrates in the first person, telling what she saw and heard at the time and augmenting this narration with thoughts and assessments of her experiences in retrospect. Although she is by no means an omniscient narrator, she has matured considerably over the intervening years and often implicitly and humorously comments on the naïveté she displayed in her thoughts and actions as a young girl. Scout mostly tells of her own thoughts but also devotes considerable time to recounting and analyzing Jem’s thoughts and actions.

Describe the four techniques mentioned in the article that help you, the speaker, keep your audience engaged.(Site 1)
ohaa [14]

Answer: The first technique is to keep the audience engaged to the topic that you are speaking about. This gets the audience thinking and engaging immediately. The second technique is to break the ice. Using an ice breaker helps your audience form a connection with you and gets them to interact with you, the speaker, more. The third technique is to seek the wisdom of the audience. This would mean asking questions. The final technique is to keep the audience focused. One way to do this would be through maintaining eye contact.

What does it mean to be a hero?
rjkz [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

What it means to be a Hero. One automatically thinks of superman when the word hero is mentioned, but it doesn’t take a life to be saved for someone to be recognized as a hero. Some of the greatest heroes are those who don’t expect the fame and glory for a good deed done.

It takes a lot to be courageous, especially to be courageous in all situations; even the bad. Helen Keller lived a very tough life with no ability to see or hear but still she found a way to get passed her disabilities and rose above the boundaries that were put in front of her. She is a hero to all those who see no light at the end of the tunnel, to those who think they can’t persevere, but really, little do they know they can. She is a person the weak can look up to and a person who shows people all goals are possible. She reached her goals and left a legacy so that her name will never be forgotten.
