<h2>1. Ritgh answer: la alfombra  </h2>

La alfombra (the carpet) is an item usually made of fabric, used to cover the floor as a decoration, to delimit spaces or as in this case (the bathroom) with anti-slip function.

The options la cómoda (the dresser), el espejo (the mirror), el cuadro (the picture) are not correct because they are not according to the context.

<h2>2. Ritgh answer: religious figures  </h2>

Rosa Brítez was a Paraguayan potter, known for her particular style, modeling in black clay and creating figures representative of her surroundings.

In her beginnings she made pieces with the shapes of the sun and the moon and animals of the Paraguayan fauna. Then her style was inspired by the figures of couples of lovers represented in the Hindu text Kamasutra. Finally, her style changed to the opposite side and she dedicated  to capture religious figures in her clay pieces.

<h2>3. Right answer: azul es mejor que verde  </h2>

In spanish, if you want to say that someone or something is <u>better than</u> the other, you must use <u>mejor que</u>.

In this case there is a comparison between two colors, blue and green, resulting blue better than green.

<h2>4. Right answer: duermo en mi cama  </h2>

This sentence is written with the verb dormir (to sleep) conjugated in present with the first person in singular yo (I).

Nevertheless, the subject yo (I) is not written in the sentence, although is still correct; because <u>in Spanish grammar is not always necessary that the subject is explicitly in the sentence</u>, it is called Tacit Subject, Implicit Subject or Null Subject.

This is because the subject is encoded in the verb conjugation

<h2>5. Right answer: Lara and Cailan are best friends  </h2>

This is a sentence written in present with the verb ser (to be) conjugated with the <u>third person in plural feminine</u> ellas (they) as son (are).

<h2> 6. Right answer: las cortinas azules  </h2>

This phrase is a good example of the usage of the article in Spanish.

<u>The article</u> is a word that clearly indicates the gender and the number of the noun. Its function is to modify the noun it introduces.

In this case <u>the defined article</u> las (the) is used with the noun cortinas (curtains) which is <u>plural feminine</u>.

In addition, azules (blue) complements the information about the curtains.

<h2>7. Righ answer: es blanca (is white) </h2>

Common salt, also called table salt or refined salt, is a mineral (sodium chloride) that is used mainly as a condiment for some dishes and as a food preservative, as well as in the preparation of certain pickles.

It should be noted that refined salt for human consumption may have several small impurities trapped inside its crystals, from water molecules to clays, sands, magnesium sulfate and potassium iodide. These compounds are responsible for the <u>white coloration of the salt</u>, due to the scattering, reflection and refraction experienced by the light when it crosses the impure crystals.

<h2>8. Right answer: el despertador </h2>

El despertador (the alarm clock) is an item or device that is used to wake you up by a sound (which can be a noise, music or radio station) or a light.

The options la pared (the wall), el disco compacto (the CD) and la cómoda (the dresser) are incorrect because they are not useful if you want to wake up.

<h2>9. Right answer: puede </h2>

This is a negative sentence with the verb poder (can) conjugated in present with the <u>third person in singular</u> ella (she) who is Elene, as puede (can).

Therefore the complete sentence is:

Elene no <u>puede</u> traer el DVD.

Elene <u>can not</u> bring the DVD

The options podemos (we can), puedo (I can) and podeis (you can)  are incorrect because they are not conjugated with the third person in singular

<h2>10. Righ answer: es </h2>

This is a sentence with the verb ser (to be) conjugated in present with the <u>third person in singular</u> él (he) which is Paco, as es.

Therefore the complete sentence is:

Paco <u>es </u>de Madrid.

Paco <u>is</u> from Madrid

The options soy (I am), eres (you are) are not correct because do not correspond with the subject Paco and esta (he is) is also incorrect because the translation is not according to the context

Write a paragraph about day of the dead<br> 6 sentences
Thepotemich [5.8K]
