What were Chinese immigrants occupations between the years 1871 and 1913 and where were they?
EleoNora [17]
After the Civil War, immigrants again began to stream to the United States. Between 1870 and 1900, nearly 12 million immigrants arrived--more foreign-born people than had come to the country in the preceding 70 years. During the 1870s and 1880s, the majority came from Germany, Ireland, and England--the principal source of immigration before the Civil War. Even so, a relatively large group of Chinese immigrated to the United States between the start of the California gold rush in 1849 and 1882, when federal law stopped their immigration.

Zarrin [17]

Answer:

Roger Sherman is widely regarded as the founding father of the United States of America because of his contributions to American democracy and lawmaking in general.

Remarkably, he is the only person to sign on the Constitution, Articles of Confederation, the Declaration of Independence, and the Continental Association which are considered the four major documents of United States history.

His contributions to the drafting of the Constitution include:

 • proposing the Great Compromise

What happened to the European colonies in Asia and Africa following World War II?
avanturin [10]

After World War II, there was a great movement of decolonization, with many colonies reaching independence from their parent countries. After the war, countries had to focus on rebuilding themselves and their economy, which led to a liberation of many colonies.

An example of that is India, that gained its independence from Britain in 1947. We can also mention Libya, Pakistan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, as countries that reached independence right after WWII.
