Esoteric means that only a small number of people know what it means. (Kinda funny now that I look at the situation)

For example,

The debate was esoteric

Which is basically saying,

The debate wasn't able to be understood by many people.

Wiesel uses questions in the first two paragraphs to ...
geniusboy [140]

Answer:

•Encourage deep thinking of the audience.

Explanation:

From the first two paragraphs, we discover that Wiesel uses questions. I can deduce that Wiesel uses question in order to encourage deep thinking by the audience.

He tends to throw the question to his audience in order for them to think alongside with him. The questions he asked in those paragraphs tend to bring the audience to think in his line of thought or to see his own views.

Wiesel asks the questions and immediately goes further to provide answers. I believe he uses the questions to engage the mind of his audience.

In which sentence does the underlined adverb modify an adjective? Young owls grow slowly. Young owls usually grow slowly. Very y
Natalija [7]
The correct answer is Very young owls grow slowly.
Here, the adverb is very and the adjective is young, so the adverb is used to modify the adjective, or to show a particular degree of the adjective (how young? very young.).
In the rest of the options, there is only one adverb slowly, and it's not modifying an adjective, but rather the verb.
