A political party is an organization with people who have common political principles and ideas. These principles are called ideology. It is a form of representation of political power that is guided by the political and social values of a group. In addition to representing a form of political thinking, parties are formed to ensure that the system of representative democracy is respected. Representative democracy is the form of political exercise in which citizens vote for politicians who will be their representatives. The fact that the major parties cooperate to discourage minor parties and yet compete vigorously against each other during elections means that they believe they can represent everyone. At the same time, the reality says that is not true.

The United States has historically favored a 2-Party System, with the Democrats and Republicans, the 2 major parties controlling most aspects of the government and public policy. The fact that the major parties cooperate to discourage minor parties shows that one party wants control of the government to implement its policies. Despite other political parties existing in the US they rarely have more than a a very modest impact in government politics.

What caused the U.S. stock market to crash in 1929
Pepsi [2]

The 1920's were known as the roaring 20's. Investors got confident in the market and bought stocks on margin. More and more investors had borrowed money to get into the stock market. When the stock market turned downed, that forced investors to sell rapidly. However, there were no buyers to offset those trades. Therefore, there was a supply and demand in balance, which directly causes the stock market to crash.

What effect did Napoleon's invasion of Spain have on Latin America?
Anna71 [15]

The correct answer is - B. Latin American leaders demanded independence.

Napoleon with his conquests and waging wars managed to weaken lot of countries. One of those countries was Spain. Spain already seemed to have troubles in its colonies, and when Napoleon attacked it, he managed to significantly weaken it, which sparked the independence movements across Latin America.

The Latin American leaders were carefully monitoring the development of the situation, and once they thought that Spain is no longer strong enough to be able to stop the revolutions, they decided to act. The people were already very frustrated by the Spanish leadership, so the leaders of this region used that momentum and started to make revolutions. One by one, the Latin American countries started to gain independence, some sooner than others, and it really turned out that Spain was not able to oppose all of them.
