When communicating with individuals with hearing loss, you have to consider the following:

1.       Attention of the person you are talking to. When his attention is 100%, it is easier to communicate with the aid of body language and facial expressions.

2.       The distance between you and the other person. It will be clearer to see the person’s facial expressions when the distance is near.

3.       Speaking speed. It is essential to adjust the speaking speed in order to catch every word uttered.

4.       Lipreading is helpful because it can enhance the emphasis of words.
