John Hanson born in port tobacco on April 14th 1722 died on November 15th 1783 was a merchant and politician from Maryland during the revolution after a while he was elected as a delegate to the Continental Congress , for this reazon hanson have being argued as the actual first president.

the reazon why he have being argued and confused as a african american guy iy is because the picture that we have in the 2 dollar bill, it could be refuted due as the history books picture him as a  white man

this is the image from the 2Dls bill and a portraid attributed to John Hanson in late 1760s:

The supposed African American man who appears on the 2 dollar bill is considered to be John Hanson. The first president of the Continental Congress. However, the man who is known as John Hanson and served as president of the Continental Congress is not an African American, but rather a White man.

There was another man known as John Hanson, who was a black public official who served as senator of Grand Bassa County in Liberia. However, he could not have been in the image shown in the 2 dollar bill because he was born in 1791. Many years after the event depicted in the bill.
