Answer:

In the mating between individuals with the genotypes IAi HhxiiHh the percentage of offspring would be expected to gave the o blood type is: 0

Explanation:

iA, iB, and i, are the three forms of human blood type genetic information in DNA specific chromosome, called alleles, containing the ABO path that determines the blood group offspring will belong to. Human beings inherits one of these ABO alleles from the biological mother and another one from the biological father, totaling two, which will shape genotype. Thr inherited present and expressed allele is called co-dominant.

The A and B genes are dominant and the O gene is recessive, as in eye or hair color, our blood type is also inherited from our parents.

A parent of blood type AB has the co-dominant IA and IB alleles. A parent of blood type O is homozygous recessive for the i allele.

The following genotypes will yield these blood types:

- iAiA or iAi - Both genotypes produce the A protein (type A).

- iBiB or iBi - Both genotypes produce the B protein (type B).

- iAiB - This genotype produces the A and B protein (type AB).

- ii - This genotype produces no protein (type O).

So, if an O gene is paired with an A gene, the blood type will be A.

The Punnett square for their offspring is shown to the right. The genotypes of their offspring could be either IAi or IBi. Their children could be in blood groups A or B, but not AB or O.

So, your blood type does not necessarily tell you exactly which alleles you have. For example, a person  with blood type A could have either two iA alleles or one iA allele and one i allele. It is possible for two parents  with the same blood type (A or B) to have a child with type O blood. Both parents would have to have a mixed  genotype, such as one i allele together with either one iA or one iB allele.
