Answer: One direct, but relative expensive approach is to PUSH a beach by dumping tons of sand just slightly upcurrent of the beach.

Explanation: Shrinking Beaches can be defined as the displacement of land, or long-term removal of small particles (beach sand) and rocks along the coastline due to the action of waves, currents, tides, wind-driven water, or other impacts of storms.

When a beach is shrinking also known as beach erosion, to prevent the beach from shrinking any further, addition of sand and rocks will minimise the effect of the erosion and might as well stop it in the long term . The sand may be dredged from nearby and pumped onto the beach, or transported in from outside areas.

These statements describe the Nile River.
aalyn [17]

Answer:

After reading the statement for answer, I noticed that some were true and some were false.  So, I'll assume your question is related to that fact.

Here's an analysis of the statements:

Ancient civilizations once lived along the Nile.

TRUE. That's why we encounter the pyramids in that region.

Fertile lands surround the Nile.

TRUE, since the Nile is THE most important source of water in the area, it's logical for it to be the location of agriculture.

Few people live near the river.

FALSE.  In Ancient times and today, the Nile shores host most of the population of Egypt, a large part of the country being essentially a chunk of the Sahara desert.

The Nile provides irrigation for surrounding farms.

TRUE. The Nile is virtually the only source of abundant water in the area.

The Nile runs through Libya and Tunisia.

FALSE. Libya and Tunisia are WEST of the country of Egypt and have nothing to do with the Nile.

So, depending if you had to find the TRUE or FALSE statements in this list, make your pick.  I hope that helps.
