They are called circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythms are physical, mental and behavioral changes that follow a repeated daily cycle. They are usually biological processes that display an oscillation of about 24 hours and occurs in animals, plants and even cyanobacteria. The process responds to changes in light and darkness in the surroundings of an organism.
