The correct answer is B. Review the rules of grammar and be sure they understand sentence structure. There are two types of accuplacer: sentence correction questions and construction shift questions. The first type tests your understanding of sentence structure. You need to choose the best phrase to replace the underlined portion of the sentence. The second type you must rewrite the sentence according to the criteria shown while retaining the same general meaning of the original sentence.

B. Review the rules of grammar and be sure they understand sentence structure.

Because the sentence skills section of the ACCUPLACER will cover basic sentence structure rules and grammar, studying vocabulary terms would not be helpful. Additionally, when writing literary analyses, writing goes beyond the sentence level into the construction of arguments and the provision of supporting concepts from texts. Thus, reviewing the grammar rules and ensuring an understanding of sentence structure would be the best way to prepare.

I think this quote is trying to say you need to be yourself and not follow the crowd. There are so many people who act the same because that’s what’s "expected" in society. If you continue with the flow and don’t go against it, you will end up being like all the rest without even realizing it. Hope that helped
