True,

Social Imagination gives us insight about how the social environment plays a crucial role in shaping us and our thoughts and in a progressive/degenerative way shape our society.

For instance – a girl who is of dark complexion lives in inferiority complex as she feels she don’t looks pretty. From a distant view, we may feel that it’s the personal problem of that girl, but when we look from a social imagination point of view, we may realize that it is the obsession of the society with fair colour that creates such problems.

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Sociological imagination broadens our perspective about our own thoughts and the rituals and beliefs prevailing within a society. It creates a platform where one is free to think and access things or beliefs independently without any social pressure or interference. An intellectual individual uses, tries and test logic behind everything with social backing. He/she do not belief any thing in the same way as a society do.

All great sociologist have predicted certain flaws in the existing social structure only when they started thinking sociologically.

Hence the given statement is true.

This procedure for measuring cell size has certain limitations . List three such limitations
marusya05 [52]

The limitations of cell size are:

1) Surface area to volume ratio

2) Nucleo cytoplasmic ratio

3) Fragility of cell membrane

What are the cause of limitations on cell size?

The need for a surface area of sufficient area to allow the cells function→.

→If the surface area of cell increase volume increase to the cube of the linear increase.

→ Nuclie contains information needed for protein synthesis . Some cells reduce this limitation to increase the no. Of nucleus called multinucleated.

Examples are muscle cells.

What statement applies to all forms of sexual reproduction
il63 [147K]

Answer:

Sexual reproduction occurs from the fusion of male sperm cell with female egg cells. Due to this fusion, fertile zygote is formed which turns into a new organism.

Explanation:

The sperm cell of male and egg cell of female are haploid in nature i. e. half number of chromosome. When two haploid cells combine together, it forms diploid cell i. e. double number of chromosomes. The organism which is formed from sexual reproduction have diploid cell.

What is the purpose of meiosis, how does the cell reduce the chromosome number in half and what are the three ways that genetica
LiRa [457]

Answer:

The purpose of meiosis is to produce gametes, which are used for sexual reproduction.

The cell reduces its chromosome number in half via a series of complex events. These events are summarised into two main groups: Meiosis I and Meiosis II, with each group encompassing several different events.

One way is : 1) Meiosis; the end product is 4 genetically different haploid cells.

Explanation:

Gametes are haploid cells that have only one set of chromosomes. As opposed to Somatic cells which contain two sets of chromosomes (these are known as diploid cells).

In Meiosis I, crossing over occurs during the event known as Prophase I. Crossing over is the process where non-sister chromatids exchange genetic information with one another. The site where this occurs between the chromatids is known as the chiasma.
