There were 3,581 casualties at Pearl Harbor. 2,403 of those were killed, including 68 civilians. 1,178 is the amount of wounded personnel.

The attack also destroyed or damaged 19 U.S. Navy ships, including 8 battleships.

Half of the people who died were on the battleship USS Arizona, which remains sunken in Pearl Harbor with its crew onboard.

A United States flag flies above the sunken battleship as a memorial to all Americans who died in the attack.
