Remember
(x^m)(x^n)=x^(m+n)

and
\sqrt[n]{x^m} =x^{ \frac{m}{n} } so

(\sqrt[7]{x^5})(\sqrt[7]{x^5}) =
(x^{ \frac{5}{7})(x^{ \frac{5}{7}) } =
x^(\frac{5}{7}+\frac{5}{7}) =
 x^(\frac{10}{7})=
(x^ \frac{7}{7} )(x^ \frac{3}{7})=
(x)(x^ \frac{3}{7}=
x \sqrt[7]{x^3}

The mathematical expression of the given above is,
                           (x^1/7)^5  x   (x^17)^5
Take note that for (x^n)^m, the answer is x^nm. For our expression above,
                                      (x^5/7)   x (x^5/7)
Another rule for exponent is that for (x^n) x (x^m) the answer would be x^(n + m). For the expression,
                                                x^10/7

Use 3.14 for the value of pi. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.<br> radius = 5.4 mi
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

91.6

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula to find the area of a circle is A=πr^2. we are given the radius so if we plug it in and use 3.14 for pi we get. 3.14*5.4mi^2. This equals 91.5624 mi, rounded to the nearest tenth it is 91.6 mi.

A car's cooling system has a capacity of 20 quarts. Initially, the system contains a mixture of 3 quarts of antifreeze and 17 qu
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

1.10 quarts

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

Capacity of system=20 quarts=\frac{20}{4}=5 gal

1 gallon=4 quarts

Initially mixture contains

Antifreeze=3 quarts=\frac{3}{4}=0.75 gal

Water=17 quarts=\frac{17}{4}=4.25 gal

Water runs in to the system=1gal/min

We have to find the antifreeze in the system at the end of 5  minutes.

Concentration inflow=0

Let Concentration outflow=x

Rate of system=Concentration inflow(water inflow rate)-Concentration outflow(water outflow rate)

\frac{dx}{dt}=0\times 1-\frac{1}{5} x=-\frac{x}{5}

\frac{dx}{x}=-\frac{dt}{5}

Taking integration on both sides

\int\frac{dx}{x}=-\frac{1}{5}\int dt

ln x=-\frac{1}{5}t+C

x=3 and t=0

ln 3=C

ln x-ln 3=-\frac{1}{5}t

ln\frac{x}{3}=-\frac{1}{5}t

Using formula

ln m-ln n=ln\frac{m}{n}

\frac{x}{3}=e^{-0.2t}

x=3e^{-0.2t}

Substitute t=5

x=3e^{-0.2\times 5}=3e^{-1}=1.10

Hence, in the end of 5 minute ,the antifreeze in the system=1.10 quarts

Find the values of the missing arc<br><br> Show step by step !
Olenka [21]

Answer:

arc QS = 95°

Step-by-step explanation:

the inscribed angle QSR is half the measure of its intercepted arc RQ , then

arc RQ = 2 × 95° = 190°

the sum of the arcs in a circle = 360° , then

arc QS = 360° - arc SR - arc RQ = 360° - 75° - 190° = 95°
