Damien clutched the armrests as the plane traveled down the runway. His knuckles turned white as he gripped the seat tighter. He

felt a strange pull on his body as the plane lifted off the ground. When they were in the air, he loosened his grip slightly and released a breath he didn’t know he was holding. He felt fine now. It was just like sitting in a car. Moments later, Damien dared himself to look out the window. The puffy, white clouds that surrounded the plane made Damien feel safe. Which of these choices BEST adds detail to the phrase felt fine now? A) felt okay now B) felt calmer now C) felt all right now D) felt much better now

Which of the following italicized words is correctly capitalized?
Allisa [31]
The correct answer is A. Jim must drive to the North to study the northern lights. Here, the word North is supposed to be capitalized because it is a cardinal direction, and the word northern doesn't have to be capitalized because it is an adjective denoting the word lights. In B, the word German has to be capitalized. In C, McKinley is also supposed to be capitalized because it is the name of a mountain. In D, the word State doesn't have to be capitalized because it is a common noun, not a name.

1. How is love defined in our culture and how is it defined in other cultures?
muminat
1. Culture is a major factor that transforms passionate love into romantic love. Cultural values and traditional behaviors influence the expressions and experiences of love and transfer passionate love as primarily based on a sexual attraction into romantic love as an idealized and culturally affected way of loving.

2. The truth is, you probably do. Every single person in the world understands love and expresses it in a different way. You might have trouble understanding each other because you express love differently. This doesn't mean that one of you loves the other any more or less.

Why was Charlie from the book breaking dawn furious after learning Bella and Edward's engagement
Tanzania [10]
He was upset because Renee was supposed to do the heavy (yell and scream at Bella for making bad choices) but doesn't. So Charlie went moping around till the wedding came so technically he was upset that Renee hadn't rat Bella out.
