Continental climates are the regions where there are significant annual variations in temperature which are hot summers and cold winters. The winter temperature is often cold enough to support a fixed period of snow each year. It occurs or happens where wind blow prevail overland and temperatures are not moderated by water bodies like seas or oceans. It usually occurs in Northern Hemisphere.
